Craigslist Caves In, Changes to WordPress Blog Platform

In response to the launch of this unofficial blog, Craigslist, Inc. quickly launched a blog of their own a couple weeks ago. Some people in the tech world made a little fun of CL’s first attempt at a blog because it really wasn’t a blog. There were no categories, comments or even an RSS feed. It has become pretty obvious to me that their attorneys told them to publish something that at least resembled a blog ASAP to make their case against us stronger. An insider told us that they even backdated their original posts.

Like us, Craigslist is now utilizing the WordPress platform. The blue, a little lighter than ours, is a nice touch. Perhaps it is true that imitation is the best form of flattery.

Their 2nd attempt at a blog still sucks + they post maybe once or twice a week. Doesn’t seem to be much of a priority.

It doesn’t seem like they are that serious about their blog. The posts are boring and do not seem well thought out. Just my 2 cents.
